Leesburg's Public Works Department is the heart of several important city operations, providing award-winning service to our citizens and customers.

The Department oversees everything from solid waste collection, street maintenance, municipal fleet services and storm water control to Florida's leading water and wastewater utilities.

The administrative division also handles construction projects for the City of Leesburg. The Streets and Signs Maintenance Division is responsible for overseeing contracts for the maintenance and repair of existing streets and sidewalks, including the repair of potholes.

The Fleet Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance and operation of more than 650 vehicles and pieces of equipment in the City’s inventory that include police and fire vehicles, heavy equipment, cars, and light trucks used in the City’s operations.

The Solid Waste Division services both Residential and Commercial customers. It is one of the enterprise utilities of the City of Leesburg, responsible for the collection of all residential and commercial solid waste and recyclable material in the City.
