A father and son – both football stars and accomplished motivational speakers – will visit Leesburg High School on Nov. 5 to help empower families with a message of hope.

The free event sponsored by Phillips Automotive Group, the Leesburg Partnership, the Leesburg Area Chamber of Commerce and others will feature John Croyle – a former University of Alabama football player who has raised nearly 2,000 children since founding Big Oak Ranch, Inc. in 1974.

His son, Brodie Croyle, also played football at the University of Alabama as well as in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs. Brodie now serves as associate executive director of the Big Oak Ranch.

John Croyle authored the parenting guidebooks “Bringing Out the Winner in Your Child”, “The Two-Minute Drill to Manhood”, “Raising a Princess”, and “Who You Are” (2015).

Together, the two present a unique perspective to build strong families through caring and support. The message often is mixed with insight drawn from their sports careers and their extensive history of helping children in need. The Croyles travel the country speaking at corporate and community events.

The event begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5. Doors open at 5 p.m. at Leesburg High School, 1401 Yellow Jacket Way. Admission is free. For more information, contact the Leesburg Partnership at (352) 365-0053.
