Leesburg offers grants for not-for-profit organizations

          LEESBURG, FL – The City of Leesburg is now accepting applications for American Rescue Plan Civic Funding grants. Information and on-line application forms are available on the city website at www.LeesburgFlorida.gov.

          The purpose of these grants is to provide financial relief for Leesburg based bonified not-for-profit organizations who can demonstrate financial hardship due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Priority will be given to those organizations that have not previously received Covid relief funding. Organizations that have received Covid relief funding from the City of Leesburg are not eligible.

          Applications are due by March 31, 2022 with City Commission review scheduled for April 11, 2022. Funds will be distributed on a first-come first-served basis and shall end when the allocation is fully disbursed.

Leesburg is a progressive city of more than 28,000 residents in northwest Lake County. The city government serves twice as many people with its electric, gas, water and wastewater public utilities.
