City of Leesburg will close offices
and facilities for Thanksgiving holiday

 LEESBURG, FL – City of Leesburg offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 for Thanksgiving holiday observance. Regular operations will resume on Monday, December 2.

     There will be no garbage, yard waste, bulk item, appliance or recycling collection Thursday and Friday, November 28-29. The Leesburg Public Library will close on Wednesday, November 27 at 6 p.m. and re-open on Saturday, November 30 with normal operating hours.

     The City gymnasium, located at 1851 Griffin Road, will be open from 10:00am – 4:00pm on November 29.

     The Thanksgiving holiday signals the start of several Leesburg holiday traditions beginning with the Main Street Christmas Stroll on November 29. The Leesburg Christmas Parade is scheduled for December 7 on Main Street and Light-Up Leesburg and Christmas on the Water Boat Parade will be held December 8 at the islands of Venetian Gardens.
