The purpose of the class is to provide responsible, specialized office support to assigned office. The class is responsible for performing routine and specialized office work, customer service, records maintenance, correspondence, coordination, and other clerical or specialized tasks. The class works within a general outline of work to be performed; develops work methods and sequences under general supervision. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires a valid State of Florida driver license. Requires one year of general office and customer service experience, and two or more years of cash handling/cashier experience. Knowledge of Windows based software programs, data entry, and operation of 10-key calculator, telephone etiquette and ability to handle difficult situations with assisting patrons, problem solving and multitasking. Basic mathematical and reasoning skills required. Must type 35 cwpm. Requires a valid State of Florida driver license and satisfactory driving record as a condition of initial and continued employment. Notary Public may be required.
