The purpose of the class is to provide paraprofessional library services. The class is responsible for performing advanced bibliographic searches in intra-library loan, acquisition, or circulation functions and/or information services using all available library sources and tools; and providing research and/or assistance in public service areas involving extensive public contact in advising patrons in the use and location of materials or data bases. Requires a bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree with significant public library experience. Requires experience with library organizations or other related fields. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word and Excel; Microsoft PowerPoint and Publisher preferred. Days and hours: Tuesday through Wednesday 3:00pm – 8:00pm; every 3rd Saturday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
