Public Works supervisory position responsible for grounds maintenance and facility maintenance divisions of the Public Works Department. This position is directly responsible for supervision of the grounds and facility maintenance staff, as well as development and administration of major projects involving grounds and facilities. Duties include planning, development, budgeting, personnel selection and supervision. Work is performed with considerable latitude, involving the application of professional knowledge and experience within the broad limits of established policies and programs. Work is performed under general direction and is reviewed through daily, informal feedback and formal evaluations. Graduation from a four (4) year college or university. A major in engineering, architecture, construction management, horticulture, public administration or a related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience. Local government supervisory experience preferred. Requires a valid State of Florida driver license and satisfactory driving record as a condition of initial and continued employment. Registered professional engineer, architect, certified project manager or ISA certified arborist preferred.
