Welcome to the Leesburg International Airport!
Leesburg International Airport (LEE) is a large general aviation airport with over 50,000 flight operations per year. It is conveniently located near major highways including Florida’s Turnpike and U.S. Highways 27 and 441. The airport has grown substantially in the past few years and it continues to grow. Leesburg International is the largest airport in Lake County.
The airport sustains and stimulates economic growth and development. The annual economic impact of the Leesburg International Airport is of approximately $63,729,000.00. The direct impact comes from businesses located on the airport and capital projects. The indirect impact is attributed to visitors’ spending, who arrive in the area by aircraft. Additionally, the airport supports health, welfare, emergency, and safety related services.
Leesburg International Airport is a Port of Entry to the U.S., due to its U.S. Customs and Border Protection office, allowing international flights to be cleared in Leesburg and the establishment of a Foreign-Trade Zone. Such assets are expected to attract new businesses to the region and improve the local economy.
LEE has been designated a Gold Seal Airport by the Florida Department of Transportation, recognized for its high standards for infrastructure, services, and safety. The Airport is a full-service facility for business and recreational aircraft as well as a growing hub for aviation businesses.
