I want to have a bounce house at my child’s birthday party at the park, is that allowed?
Bounce houses and other amenities are only allowed with a permit. Permits must be turned in two (2) weeks in advance and must be approved by the Park Division. Proof of insurance must be provided by the permittee in the amount of $300,000 or more, naming the City of Leesburg as an additional insured on the policy. The bounce house or amenity vendor that is specified will be the only company allowed to set-up on the day of your event. Permits are issued on a first come-first serve basis.
The permittee is responsible for providing a generator for inflation of the amenity; the City of Leesburg does not provide electricity. The generator will be a quiet one rated at 60dB or less and not generate noise in excess of City standards. The generator shall be placed a safe distance from the bounce house and electrical cords covered to prevent tripping hazards.
The Bounce house or amenity shall not be placed in a City park earlier than eight (8) a.m. and must be removed no later than sunset on the day for which the permit is issued. The permittee must provide adequate supervision so that the use is in compliance with manufactures recommendations and reflects safe levels of operation. The permittee is responsible for all damage caused by their use of the park, bounce house or amenity. The City of Leesburg will not be held liable for any damage to the bounce house or amenity. Failure by the permittee or vendor to adhere to these policies will result in the immediate removal of bounce house from the park and may result in the denial of future use of City parks and facilities. Damages to the park resulting from the use of a bounce house or amenity are the financial responsibility of the permittee. Dunk Tanks and Water Slides are NOT permitted in any City Park.
