The Leesburg Police Department is a progressive law enforcement agency with 121 employees who provide the highest level of service to our citizens and visitors . We are a "Community Oriented Policing" (C.O.P.) department that utilizes a problem-solving philosophy supported by intelligence-led principles. We perform traditional enforcement activities while consistently seeking long-term problem resolution in various partnerships with our citizens. 


The department is divided into three Bureaus; Uniform Patrol, Special Services & Investigations, and Support Services. Within these Bureaus there are various specialized units including the Traffic Unit, S.W.A.T. (Special Weapons And Tactics), Narcotics/Vice, Community Services, Crime Prevention and Code Enforcement.

Annual Budget Reports
The City of Leesburg is working to bring any forms and/or other public records which it places on its website in compliance with the standards set forth in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, 2.0 and AA.
