Leesburg Police and Fire Departments Collect Donations for Blood Drive
The City of Leesburg police and fire departments will collect donations on Friday, Jan. 6, for Florida’s Blood Centers’ Guns ‘N Hoses competition.
Stop by the field across from the fire station at 201 S. Canal St. in Leesburg between 3 and 7 p.m. to donate blood for either the police or fire departments. The event is part of a six-week contest among Central Florida police officers and firefighters to raise the most donations. Florida’s Blood Centers will recognize the winning agency after Jan. 16.
All donors will receive a commemorative Guns ‘N Hoses T-shirt. For more information, contact the Blood Centers at 1-888-9-DONATE.
Leesburg is a progressive city of more than 20,000 residents in northwest Lake County. The city government serves twice as many people with its electric, gas, water, wastewater and fiber-optic public utilities. Leesburg also is a central hub for commerce, attracting 50,000 people to work each weekday.
