The Library is pleased to provide an email book newsletter service,
NextReads. The best way to move beyond the best sellers and find out what's new and recommended. No library card is necessary—just an email address. Subscribe to any of the 20 different subject and genre newsletters. Click the icon on the right and see a list of the topics including Fiction genres, Biography, and Non-fiction subjects. A description of each newsletter is available on the list. Subscribers can link directly to the library catalog from their e-mail and place a hold or request a title immediately. Beginning Genealogy Series
For a donation of $15 to the Friends of the Library, you can sign up for a series of 3 sessions on beginning genealogy to be held from 1:00 - 4:00 PM on Mondays, July 14th, July 28th, and August 11th. Access your library account

This button (or the My Account link on the left panel) will take you directly to your account on the library catalog website. There you can check to see what you have borrowed, what you have on "hold", what items might have come in for you to pick up, and you can manage your account passwords, etc. From there you can go to the main catalog page, look up items, create lists, etc.

Bus Service to the Library
The Lake Transit bus now stops at the Leesburg Public Library on Main Street. Riders can wait for the bus on the park bench under the awning on the Elk Street side of the main entrance. Other benches are available on Elk Street near the "Bird Watchers" sculpture under the oak tree. Stop by the Library to pick up a bus schedule.
Help Support Our Troops via "Operation Ziplock"
Our patrons and staff have already sent 660 care packages (in the form of one-gallon resealable bags of toiletries and personal items) to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan! For information about how to help, come in to the Leesburg Library or call 352-728-9790.
