SUBJECT: Resolution to Amend Planning and Zoning Fee Schedule to add the fee for vendors on private property
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of the amendment to the 2008 Amended Schedule of Planning and Zoning Fees, to add the fee for vendors on private property of $120 dollars.
Analysis
Since the adoption of the amended 2008 Amended Fees, staff has completed the new vendor ordinance which provides for the City Commission to establish a fee for processing the application. A fee of $120 dollars is recommended by staff to cover the cost of processing the application. This recommended fee is comparable to the existing fees established under the current adopted fee schedule for similar applications.
Options
1. Approve the Resolution for the amendment to the 2008 Amended Fee Schedule.
2. Other such action as the Commission may deem appropriate.
Fiscal Impact
Approval of this amendment to the 2008 Amended Fees schedule to include the referenced fee will allow the City to recover the associated costs for processing these activities.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA, ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 2008 PLANNING AND ZONING AMENDED FEE SCHEDULE ADDING A FEE FOR VENDORS ON PRIVATE PROPERTY IN THE AMOUNT OF $120 DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Article VIII of Chapter 25 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Leesburg requires that certain fees are necessary for processing of applications and that such fees are to be established from time to time, by the resolution of the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City of Leesburg City Commission adopted an ordinance for the regulation of vendors on private property requiring the establishment of a processing fee.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:
THAT the 2008 Amended Planning and Zoning Fees schedule, Exhibit A, be amended to add the processing fee for vendors on private property of $120 dollars.
THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Leesburg, Florida at a regular meeting held on the 23th day of March, 2009.
