Subject: Appeal of Historic Preservation Board recommendation on paint color of City Hall Annex/Request for continuance by the Historic Preservation Board
Historic Preservation Board Recommendation:
The Historic Preservation Board requests continuance of this item until the November 26, 2007 City Commission meeting.
Analysis:
Wednesday, September 26, 2007, Interim City Manager Jay Evans gave an update on the status of the color of the Economic Development/Business Incubator building. Joe Shipes, Downtown Partnership, was also present at the Board meeting.
The Board Chair, Robert Bone, will not be available to attend the City Commission meeting October 8, 2007. Additionally, the Board felt that additional time is needed to try to come up with a solution to this situation. Therefore, the Board has requested this matter be continued until the City Commission meeting November 26, 2007.
Options:
1. Continue this item until November 26, 2007.
2. Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate
Fiscal Impact:
The Board is researching the potential costs to repaint the City Hall Annex. That information will be provided at the November 26, 2007 meeting.
