Gas Department

Mission Statement:

To provide a safe, economical, and alternative fuel source for benefit of the local community; to provide the necessary services to meet the needs of the citizens we serve; and most important, to insure a safe environment for the public and our customers.

The City of Leesburg Natural Gas Utility was established in 1959 and serves approximately 11,300 residential customers and 500 commercial customers, both inside and outside

the City limits. The Gas Department is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all gas mains and service lines, including approximately 240 miles of main lines.
