Job Description:
The purpose of this class is to assist the Laboratory Manager in the management and organization of the Oil and Grease Management Program and corresponding FDEP components of the Industrial Pretreatment Program. The class is responsible for establishing compliance with City of Leesburg Program and FDEP/EPA programs for current and future users of the sewer collections system and POTW (Public Owned Treatment Works) while assisting Coordinator with permit issuance for said users. The class is responsible for scheduling and conducting facility inspections, monitoring/sampling said facilities and collection system, maintaining logs and records, and completion of compliance reporting. The class works according to prescribed procedures; decides how and when to do things under general supervision.
Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma, or GED and formal training, special courses or self education equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education or specialized advanced training in industrial pretreatment field. Plumbing experience required. Experience in installation, use, and proper operation of grease removal systems and oil/water separators is preferred. At least 5 years experience in Florida Building and Plumbing Codes preferred. Experience in conducting construction/installation inspections and Industrial Pretreatment Programs preferred. Laboratory experience is preferred. Days are Saturday through Wednesday. Requires a valid a State of Florida driver license. Obtain Florida DEP Industrial Pretreatment Certification C Level within two (2) years of hire, and a B Certification within three (3) years of hire. Obtain FOG I Certification (Fat, Oil, Grease) within 1 year of hire.
